Positives of T1D?
Adrian shares the good stuff
Diabetes UK has a story you should read.
This is Adrian. He has T1D.
As you can see, he’s not a child or teenager and was diagnosed at age 40. Yes, adults can be diagnosed with it.
Check out his story here:
One positive that strikes me is the “You’ll get free prescriptions for life.” If only that were so in every country around the world, not to mention the “You’ll get regular health checks for life.” Adrian lives in the UK.
He says:
I have lived and thrived with diabetes for almost 19 years. Diabetes caused a few weeks of adjustment, with some anxiety – more on the part of my family and friends than me, if the truth be told. But very soon after diagnosis, I resumed the busy and active life that I had always led, and I’ve just carried on that way.
Go Adrian!
Thank you for reading and supporting my writing. I’m still writing that book, you know.
